My path into music is rather unconventional as I didn’t grow up playing music, but only began when I was 24. Though I didn’t know how to play yet, music has always accompanied me, and in various instances carried me through my life. I grew up listening to a variety of different genres. From my grandpa’s Best of the 50&60s CDs to Movie Soundtracks to Old School Vocal Jazz, my love for a piece of music has always been immediate and deep. There is a line from a Frankie Vallie Song that says: “It’s got groove, it’s got meaning“. As a teenager, it struck me immediately, not knowing how its meaning would eventually grow into being my purpose. It is not only the groove though that provides meaning but the place from which we create it. I believe that this source from which we express ourselves is the same place where the listener receives it. That’s what gives music its magical potential, the ability to access a place within yourself through somebody else's experience.

To me the beauty of music lies in the expression of one's unique character, perspective and story. That expression can manifest itself through lyrics, a single note, a chosen or unintentional chord, just as well as in a moment of silence.

I decided to become a musician at 24, which felt incredibly late as I had no prior training or experience in music, nor did I know any musicians. But a vision had formed inside me that wouldn’t leave me alone. I dreamt of a life making music. When I looked at it without fear I didn’t see any reason not to pursue it. So I first started to learn bass, only to fall in love with electric guitar 1,5 years later. While bass and guitar were the first instruments I learned, I will always be a singer first.
My debut EP Empty Hands, which I released independently in November 2024, was shaped by my experience with depression—it’s a reflection of the struggles I faced while developing as an artist. The EP was produced within a week in a studio located in my neighbourhood in Berlin. I was lucky enough to work with a great producer, Sam Hatchwell, and amazing musicians I met around Berlin’s Neo-Soul and Jazz Jam Sessions, Marius Max, Clinton Agu and Roland Satterwhite.

In the last year I have performed in various Underground Clubs and Jazz Venues in Berlin like Donau115 and Loophole. This year when spring turns to Summer, I’ll go on my first tour through Europe, where I’ll perform solo with only guitar and voice creating the sonic frame.
